Delete Your Account
Account and data deletion
You have the right to delete your Tamem account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: Delete from the App
- Open the Tamem app
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the bottom navigation)
- Scroll down and tap Profile
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: Request via Email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to:
Include the email address associated with your Tamem account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days:
- Your account profile (email, display name, authentication data)
- All learning progress and session history
- Vocabulary lists and mistake records
- CEFR assessment results
- Spaced-repetition scheduling data
- App preferences and settings
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you later create a new account, you will start fresh.
What Is NOT Deleted
- Active subscriptions — Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through the Google Play Store or Apple Settings to stop future charges.
- Anonymized analytics — Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. During this period, your account will be deactivated immediately (you will not be able to log in), and all personal data will be permanently removed from our systems by the end of the 30-day window.
